This Longrow Red single malt whisky has been matured for 11 years in bourbon barrels, followed by an additional 4 years in fresh Pinot Noir barriques sourced from acclaimed winemaker Grant Taylor's Valli vineyards in Central Otago, New Zealand.

Bottled in 2008/2009, this was the inaugural release of Springbank's heavily peated Longrow 18, matured in a combination of 20% bourbon casks and 80% sherry casks. This limited edition consisted of only 2,100 bottles, and the Longrow 18 became part of their core releases in 2011. First distilled in 1973, Longrow is known for its unique double-distilled, heavily peated style.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: A delightful bouquet of sweet fruits and creamy cereal, intertwined with vanilla, minerality, and subtle salty undertones. Hints of leather and smoke add depth to the aroma.
• Palate: The mouthfeel is creamy and oily, with a prominent presence of peat smoke. Flavors of strawberry gum and grapefruit emerge, alongside an array of red fruits that create a vibrant palate.
