Tamras gin embarks on its journey with the highest quality Neutral Grain Spirit, distilled from the finest Punjab Rice in India. The botanicals, meticulously sourced, undergo distillation in the small-batch 230-liter Müeller Copper Still named "Odysseus." This traditional method, utilizing a Copper Still, ensures an ultra-refined liquid with a smooth mouth-feel, preserving delicate flavors. Under the guidance of Master Distiller Julia Nourney from Germany, the botanicals are distilled in groups as individual distillates, following a recipe crafted by the Master Distiller. This approach allows the use of whole fruit citrus harvested only in winter, and the distillation of more delicate botanicals like Nilgiri Tea and Indian Mint at their own pace, unaffected by the presence of other botanicals. No sugar, artificial flavors, or essences are added, and every drop of Neutral Grain Spirit undergoes redistillation. The individual distillates are left to rest and later married together over 28 days with slow dilution using filtered water, ensuring an integrated and harmonious flavor profile. Finally, Tāmras Gin is bottled and labeled at the distillery in Goa, ready to be enjoyed in your favorite cocktail or neat. The botanical lineup includes Juniper Berries, Coriander Seeds, Lotus Flowers, Lotus Seeds, Mausambi, Indian Lemon, Grapefruit, Nilgiri Tea, Angelica Root, Orris Root, Fennel Seeds, Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom, Cubeb Peppers, and Lemon Verbena.
